Ansani Designs Offers "Light" Mall Mauler Jeep Wrangler Bumper

Tempe, AZ - Ansani Designs offers a driving-light bumper for 2007-current Jeep Wranglers. The hardcore rockcrawler market is flooded with dozens of heavy-steel winch bumpers, so Ansani Designs chose a different approach. Intended for daily-driven JK Wranglers, the Ansani Designs bumper is made of 1/8-inch plate steel: strong, but weighing only 31 pounds. That's at least a third less than 3/16-inch or 1/4-inch-thick winch bumpers and nearly 10% less than the stock 35-pound bumper. The lighter front bumper eliminates the front-spring sage/raked stance that's a common by-product of front winch bumpers.

To increase visibility, Ansani Designs includes three laser-cut light holes. They're engineered to hold KC 6-inch SlimLite driving lights, which are only 2-3/4 inches thick. SlimLites are available with either chromed or black powdercoated housings in a choice of three beam patterns: Fog and Driving beams use 100-watt halogen bulbs, and Long-Range SlimLites have 130-watt halogens. (Other manfacturers' 6-inch-round lights might fit but haven't been tested.) Clevis plates mount to the bumper to accommodate a towbar. Standard finish is a durable black powdercoat; the bumper can also be shipped raw.

Installation uses Grade 8 hardware, supplied in the kit. The factory foglights aren't reused since the larger, bumper-mounted lights overshadow them.
